Summits Management Office to Host Town Hall Meeting in Huntsville on 2010 G8 Summit
The Summits Management Office will host a town hall meeting on the 2010 G8 Summit on Friday, January 15, 2010, in Huntsville, Ontario. The Honourable Tony Clement, Minister of Industry, will make introductory remarks at this event, which is an information session for the Summit that will take place on June 25-26, 2010.
A representative of the Summits Management Office will make a brief presentation and members of the Integrated Security Unit (ISU) will be available to answer questions. The ISU—a partnership between the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, the Ontario Provincial Police and the Canadian Forces—is responsible for security at the Summit.
The event will be broadcast live on TV Cogeco and rebroadcast throughout the month of January, 2010.
All residents, cottagers and business people in the Muskoka region are invited to attend.
