1. Call to Order: Chair, Tonia D., opened the meeting at 9:30 A.M. welcoming all members and guests.

2. Approval of the Agenda: Motion by Tonia D. and seconded by Dan M. that "the agenda be approved". Motion carried.

3. Approval of the Minutes: Motion by Burr A. and seconded by Bruce H. that "the Minutes of the May 2, 2009 HLC meeting be approved". Motion carried.

4. Treasurer's Report: Motion by Bruce H. and seconded by Dan M. that "the Treasurer's Report be accepted". Motion carried.

5. Report regarding the FOCA/Haliburton Lakes Association Lake Plan Publication: Mary M. and Elaine J. reviewed the document and concluded that it was different from the HLC Lake Plan Document in that it is focused on big lakes, whereas the HLC document is directed more towards the smaller lakes.

6. Lake Association Reports/Concerns:

A. Lake Waseosa Ratepayers Association; Bruce H. reported that their AGM is set for July 11. Their report on the Buoys was sent to Peter Brown, however he is not there and it was forwarded to the Works Department in Huntsville.

B. Fox Lake: Elaine J. reported that their AGM is set for July 18.

C. Harp Lake Association : Jeanne O. reported that their Annual meeting was on May 17.

D. Tasso, Toad, Camp and Blue Lakes Association: Shane B. reported that their AGM is on Labor Day.

E. Oxbow Lake Cottager's Association: Tonia D. said that there was nothing new to report.

F. Lake of Bays Association; Morris E. reported that they have put out their Handbook on the Lake of Bays.

G. Peninsula Lake Association, Dan M. reported that this Association's AGM is on the first Monday in August and that they will probably be looking for a new President. He mentioned that they are up-dating their Lake Plan.

H. Otter Lake Association; Ted M. reported that his Association is meeting on Tuesday.

I. Walker & Pells Lakes Area Association; Burr A. reported that his Association's AGM is scheduled for June 27, 2009. He mentioned that the Pells Lake severance issue was completed and that his Associations Newsletter was distributed last week.

7. Old Business (Follow-up on items from last meeting):

Progress of the Donation to Barb Patterson and recognition of achievement to Barb Stronach were reviewed. A gift was presented to Mary M. upon retiring from the HLC.

No feedback on the Webpage design was presented.

8. Committee Reports:

9. New Business: Mary M. suggested that Lake Associations that are doing Benthic studies might consider asking teachers at local schools if they are interested in having their students involved in these studies. She felt that the younger eyes are better at seeing and picking out the organisms and that it would be a good learning experience for the students. Of course, she recognized that the benthic testing times would have to be during the school year. The HLC Directors felt that this was a good suggestion and that we should follow up on it and pass it on to our Lake Associations for their consideration..

10. Motion to Adjourn: Motion carried and meeting Adjourned at 11:55A.M.
