Come Support Our Councilors in Making Responsible Tax Levy Decisions

 The public is invited to a meeting concerning the Tax Levy Increase proposed for 2009, 2010 & 2011 on April 4th at 9:30 a.m. in the Council Chambers of the Township of Lake of Bays Municipal Office, Dwight, Ontario. As it stands now, the proposed Tax Levy increase for 2009 is 10.41%, for 2010 is 30.96%, and for 2011 is 32.22%.                    

      At this Meeting you will have an opportunity to hear reasons for these elevated increases, as well as the views of our elected Councilors on possible means of decreasing the % Tax Levy. Most importantly, you will have an opportunity to express your own views/ideas to decrease our Municipal Taxes.   

      It is obvious that ‘hard decisions’ must be made by our Councilors in these difficult economic times and that any input/support by you, the Public, will make the job of our Councilors easier.
